Nearby adds an in-stock store locator to your Shopify product pages. Shoppers see which of your locations has the item right now, how far it is, and how to get there — with a live map, opening hours, and directions.

The problem · the silent bounce

Your customer is two miles from a yes.

They’re on the product page, ready to buy, and they’d happily pick it up today — if they knew which of your shops had it. Most storefronts can’t tell them, so they go and ask the question somewhere else. Often that somewhere else is a competitor who can.

A separate “find a store” page doesn’t fix it: it makes them leave the product to go hunting, and it still doesn’t say whether the item is actually on the shelf. The answer has to be on the page, and it has to be live.

The fix · how it works

The nearest yes, on the page.

01

Real-time inventory

Stock comes straight from Shopify and stays in sync by webhook. A location only shows “in stock” when it actually is — never a wasted trip.

02

Nearest first, on a map

Every location is geocoded and ranked by distance from the shopper, then plotted on a map they can read at a glance. Free shows a compact list; the full map arrives on Starter.

03

Open now & directions

Opening hours drive an “open now” badge, and one tap gives directions — or a live drive-time route on Growth.

04

Pickup, reserve & ROI (Growth)

Offer pickup and buy-online, let shoppers reserve, and see the verified in-store revenue Nearby drives back — with CSV export and period compare.

Sea trial · the locator at work

In stock, near them.

The widget reads live inventory from Shopify and lists the nearest locations that actually have the item — newest data, nearest first.

The chart table · things merchants ask

Questions, answered.

Where does the stock come from?

Straight from Shopify. On install Nearby imports your products, locations, and inventory, then subscribes to Shopify’s webhooks so it stays current. A location is only ever shown as in stock when Shopify says it is, and a stock buffer lets you treat it as out a few units early.

Do I need to edit my theme code?

No. Nearby ships as a Shopify Theme App Extension, so you add the widget to your product template from the theme customiser with one click. Nothing is written to your theme files, and there’s no Liquid to edit.

Will it slow my product page down?

No. The widget loads a single small block and fetches its data through Shopify's App Proxy — same-origin, signed, and rate-limited. There's no third-party script call and no CORS round-trip on page load.

I only have one or two shops — is it still useful?

Yes. Even with one location, the widget answers “is it in stock, and when are you open?” right on the product page, with directions. It just gets more powerful as you add locations and the map and nearest-first ranking come into play.

How many locations can I show?

Three on Free, twenty-five on Starter, and unlimited on Growth. You can add more stores in the admin than your plan shows on the storefront; upgrading raises the limit immediately.

What about data and GDPR?

Nearby asks only for read-only Shopify scopes and never writes to your store. It doesn’t build shopper profiles or sell data. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
