Common tasks
Step-by-step for the things merchants do most in Nearby — adding stores, importing from Google, changing the map, enabling pickup, and exporting analytics.
Short recipes for the things you'll do most often. All of these happen in the Nearby admin unless noted.
Add a store
- Open Stores → Add store.
- Pick the Shopify location it maps to.
- Enter the address (this is geocoded for the map), opening hours, and a phone number.
- Save. The store appears on the storefront once it's within your plan's location limit.
Import locations from Google Business Profile
- Open Stores → Import from Google Business Profile.
- Authorise access and pick the locations to import.
- Nearby brings in the address and opening hours so you don't retype them.
Change the map style
- Open Widget → Map style.
- Choose a preset, or — on Growth — paste a MapLibre style.json URL, or switch the provider to Google Maps (add your key under Settings).
- Check the live preview, then Save.
Switch from the compact widget to the full map
- Make sure you're on Starter or Growth (Free is compact only).
- Open Widget → Widget style and choose Map.
- Save and reload a product page to confirm.
Enable pickup and buy-online (Growth)
- On Growth, open a store under Stores and fill in its pickup details.
- In Widget, the pickup / buy-online CTAs appear on the store card.
Set a stock buffer (Starter and up)
- Open Stores and set a stock buffer for a location.
- Nearby treats that location as out of stock once it reaches the buffer, so you don't promise the last unit.
Remove the Nearby branding
- On Starter or Growth, open Widget and turn on Remove branding.
Export ROI analytics (Growth)
- Open Insights → ROI.
- Choose a date range, then Export CSV. You can compare against the previous period from the same screen.
